I propose that any comments that go on a bit be posted here. Asheville Jack posted an anagram which he kicked off with SINCE, when the previous word was SINCERE.
I advised him/her to quickly change it to SINCERE. Which he/she did. No problem. But it seems like something happened in-between with question marks and possibly deleted messages. Which just unravels the thread. And spoils it for those who enjoy it. Not me incidentally. I had one wiseacre leave me with SUPERCALIFRAGILISTICEXPIALIDOCIOUS (You KNOW who you are!) So I'm just proposing that we post asides here and let the game flow. Regards Skoob. |

Someone did that to me, Skoob, on another forum I visit.
More than 2000 posts now on that thread. I'm off there now to see what you left me. |

Nice to hear from you Monkey. That'll be 200 Baht. Hope our paths cross sometime soon. BTW My friend Mr McCarthy once commented that I sounded too soft to be a decent Union Rep. For information, I've had input in 5 cases so far this year. Skoob v Management = 4 results. Skoob v Immigration/Customs = 1 Court Case (Acting in an advisory capacity) Makes me feel good to know the old fires burn as hot as ever. Oh and Skoob v Monkey Woods (Chess) Not looking for revenge. Just a good game. |

Skoobie: good, you deserve some time off. How did the hearing go?
due to your aggressive behavior we have named you as our spoof advisor in taking on the govt. who just named an anti-spoof czar in the US....story still not up....wrote it hours ago, but Mark must have gotten more cheese in the keys....or some other gooey stuff holding up the works....can't he get some decent help? PS: heard tons of pubs going out of bus. in UK....time to start buying them up....?? Keeping it on Tap, and with a full head..... Morse |

The hearing went well. I had prepared a document to present, but the damned printer ran out of ink, so I had to rely on the old verbal skills. There was no escalation in the procedure, which was as we say over here: a result. I also took advantage of the opportunity to point out to the bosses what a sack of shit this Bradford Factor is for monitoring absence. I made a number of valid points, which were duly noted and documented. I think I made them question the validity of it all as a management tool. It was an amicable meeting. I was happy, they were happy. But I think there are going to be some serious questions raised in the Human Relations Department regarding number crunching and its relevance to human beings. Thanks for asking. Your Loyal Cook. Skoob. PS - I've been advising on an immigration case on behalf of a US Citizen (My son-in-law) who the authorities want to deport. I've submitted documentary evidence and statements on his behalf. The case should have been heard next Monday, but has now been adjourned until October. I'm a right busy bee me! |

Who would do something like that? Maybe it was someone who can use big words. |

Nice one J-Man. They've done it again though. That Amos's avatar scares me. Reminds me of my asshole brother. Fuckin' fag... Regards The straight one. |

Monkey Woods,
Hope you pick up on this one. Been a bit frantic on the Spoof lately. Don't know if you've been keeping up, but the week Michael Jackson cashed his chips in, somebody called Chamone appears (can you believe that?) with an avatar of a young lady with cleavage and a come-hither smile. Some of us weren't fooled (the usual suspects J-Man, Buckwheat, even I wasn't. I mean, Chamone...come on.) but certain parties positively grovelled in the dirt! Some, incredibly, continue to do so! The conspiracy theorists have their own opinions, but personally, I think it may well have been a collaborative effort between Jesus Budda, Duncan Whitehead, Mark Lowton, and I'm convinced Fergus had a hand in it too. Anyway, getting back to your original question about Frankie the J. Like a lot of new writers he was a bit prickly at first, probably thinking we were some kind of gang. I'd had a few shandies and was in 'battle stations' mode, which was by my own admission fucking dumb. But he seems okay now. He just PMS'd me actually, sort of apologising for doing a derogatory story about me. I told him not to worry about it. We all do that. I've done stories about you, you've done stories about me. I think he's just new and finding his feet. To think I almost got in a forum tear-up with Buck in the early days. Thank the Lord I had the good sense to apologise. Seems everything's sorted now. Suspect Victor Nicholas hasn't quite finished with Frankie yet though. Oh and we've got the San Francisco Onion, an American writer whose views on the forum I appreciate. He has a different political slant to some of our other US brethren. Slightly more left field. But he sounds like one of the good guys. I'm just enjoying a pint or seven of Belgium's finest 'wife beater ' beer because I don't have to get up at a ridiculous hour in the morning. Hope life is treating you well in Thailand. Chess match - whenever. No rush. Take care mate. Skoob. |

Is there any point in answering your own 'anagram'/acronym?....apart from self-pleasuring oneself?

amosmoran 3000 In response to your question: probably not. Please change your avatar. Just for me. It reminds me of the Jaime Gumb character from 'Silence Of The Lambs' It's spooky. Your comrade in Spoofery Skoob. |

All this time shifting that's going on is going to wreak havoc on the 'Anagram' game.
I'll keep on trying now I seem to have gotten the hang of it, but with the postings all coming up in a strange 'New Order' it will probably all get a bit confusing. Regards Skoob. |

Much better! Still strange... But Bob Hoskins in the bath beats Jaime Gumb out of Silence Of The Lambs anytime ![]() Regards, as ever Skoob. |
