Doctor! Are you going to Trek along? RE: WB....Pelosi is definitely into it...she wet her pants when questioned the other day, despite her protestations of "innocence"....she did, however, have no problem dropping Terrorists from Helos at 1000 feet, and told Buck if he didn't lay off her, she would sit on his mustache till he confessed...now that's a terror tactic. Waterboarding is tame. Navy SEALS and Air Force Para-Rescue go through more 'waterboarding-type scenarios' to complete their training than any scumbag terrorist ever goes through during interrogation. Besides, it takes too long.
In fact, a regular GI has more intimidating moments in basic training that these terror dudes have at Gitmo! If I recall, there's nothing like having an NVA or VC perched at the door of a Huey helicopter looking down at 5,000 feet of empty air to have them instantly strike up a 'meaningful' conversation. Does anyone think the elite British SAS invites an enemy combatant to sit down for tea and talk 'old times'? From what I remember, those fellas don't pull punches. |

Watched a Brit film the other day about a cockney hooligan turned gangster, turned torturer, turned assassin, pretty interesting and their torture methods were not to be taken lightly, especially the Turk heroine Mafia, OUCH!!!!

For the record.........
Take the hypothetical: If we knew that there was a nuclear bomb hidden in an American city and we believed that some kind of torture, fairly severe maybe, would give us a chance of finding that bomb before it went off, my guess is most Americans and most senators, maybe all, would say, "Do what you have to do". So, its easy to sit back in the armchair and say that torture can never be used. But when you're in the foxhole, it's a very different deal. Senator Charles (Chuck) Schumer (D-NY) |

But is there a bomb, Buckwheats? Where'd you get this info from? Was it a reliable source? Such as, your mother? Mothers never lie. I don't think theres a bomb at all. This is just a distraction to take my mind off the anagrams game. |

Can we actually take the US claims of bombs and WOMD seriously after their massive "pull the wool over the planet's eyes" excursion into that infamous Arabian state somewhere between Israel and Pakistan begins with an I, and they have no massive oil reserves? |

Christopher Plummer was waterboarded in preperation for his role as Captain Van Trapp in the Sound of Music. It was witnessed by at least two other cast members,Charmian Carr, who played Dweisel, and Nicholas Hammond, who played Moon Unit.

Ya think Cheney told Bush it was a water sport, like wake boarding?
"Yeah, go ahead Dick, just make sure that nobody gets hurt okay?" |

Is it true that you shouldn't be waterboarded until an hour after you eat?

It's okay to waterboard right after eating, provided you wear a life jacket or water wings/floaties.

I think JO deserves an answer to this, not a right wing answer or a left wing answer, just an answer. |

Sure if it made any sense. We can't say "Iraq"? Iraq, Iraq, Iraq! "...and they have no massive oil reserves?" Non sequitur squad report to the bridge! Stat! |
