I've a theory there was laughter in Auschwitz...

Of course there was, but it doesn't take a bottle to explain. Laughter is a coping mechanism, as well as a bonding behaviour.

That's why so many professional comics are complete fuck-ups. They use laughter to cope with their disability and bond with the friends they'll otherwise never have.

No. Vaseline lubricates. Butter lubricates. WD40 lubricates. Laughter, on the other hand, causes a tightening of the sphincter and no lubrication whatsoever.

After reading through this discussion quite thoroughly I've come to the conclusion that you've all got pirates. They are led by an undesirable called Captain Cook and only Peter Pan can save you. Peter Pan is from my part of Scotland, just up the road from where I live. I'll send him back to London to save you from said pirates. If Peter Pan can't help, then I don't know who can. Maybe some Chillean miners. They can cope with anything.

KF you should recommend they all read "The Ball of KIrriemuir"!! To lighten the mood, maybe all 160 odd verses. The even have a street in Kirrie, as you will know, called very aptly, "The Roods"......

Are you in Angus or our home town, Dundee, by any chance?

I'm a lot further south. But you're absolutely right Mr "Na Mair", Scotland does seem to be very different from the England that is being described above.

We appear to be getting a very good deal. We don't seem to have any of the problems I hear people complaining about on the news.

We don't have much crime, We don't pay for prescriptions. We don't have to recognise the Tory Government (we've got our own one). We don't even have to re-cycle. Its a heavenly idyll. We won't tell anyone, though.

ssssssssssssshhhhhhhhhhh don't mention:

the free personal care
free bus travel for the over 60's and some disabled throughout Scotland and to Carlisle
no tuition fees at uni - for Scottish students
no tolls on the Forth, Tay, Skye, Erskine etc road bridges

I do believe that some of our fellow spoofers would love the Scottish almost Tory Free Zone. Just 1 blue nosed MP is 1 too many.

This has been a Party Political advert for the Scottish always better Party.
