If any of you bother to read this, just think if Raoul Moat was a member of YOUR family, would you feel the same way you profess to feel in your articles...., those of you who bothered to read the background material?
If the answer to that question is 'YES' then I am bloody glad you are NOT related to ME. You must surely KNOW that, how you present yourself HERE on The Spoof is the only snapshot we have about YOU. Just like the 'snapshot' we have about Raoul Moat. The majority of you never met the bloke, so why the venom? You may be very, very different to the person who comes to us here and yet, as with Raoul Moat, how can we EVER know? One of you could well be the next serial killer...most 'wanted' world wide. How the hell do WE know you are NOT? Food for thought! |

Trying to get it from both sides - as people should. If I went mad with a gun, I'd expect to be taken out. What's infinitely worse is the attack in Kampala tonight where innocent people who were watching the World Cup Final got blown up. Fucking bum deal - watching it on the news right now. It's all about power and greed. In my humble opinion. Regards Skoob. |

Lady Godiva,
I've tried to look at this from both sides of the coin. I don't think I've been unduly unfair on anybody. I take the piss out of the media - who appeared to be hoping for a shootout on live TV. That's disgusting. That Sky News reporter, Anna Botting, was unforgivably callous when they covered the Derrick Bird shooting spree. It's the media who I reserve my sharpened quill for. I hope you get where I'm coming from here. As I said in the forum a few days ago - we seem to be getting more like ancient Rome every day. And we are, sadly - otherwise, why would people want to watch internet footage of everything from Saddam being hanged, to hostages in the middle east having their throats cut (think Ken Bigley) and the poor people who jumped from the World Trade Centre in 9/11? It's the voyeuristic fuckers who watch people die as a form of entertainment we should be targetting. I don't think many Spoofers would argue with that. Sincerely Skoob. |

Agreed. What's she on about, her up above?
By the way, to what is she referring when she says 'venom'. |

Don't intend to patronise the good Lady, but my Mrs was pretty upset by the whole thing too.
Maybe it's maternal instinct - guy in a no-win situation etc. Haven't really heard any venomous remarks one way or the other so far, to be honest. Some poor bastard's on my TV right now bleeding like a stuck pig in Uganda. He didn't have a choice. It's all relative. We can only hope it gets better. Can't really see it though. Sincerely Skoob. |

I'm over it now...whatever it was.
The 'venom' I wrote about was the venom spouted between writers. I suppose I haven't been around long enough to know that you can all 'take it on the chin' from each other. Yes, probably a bit of motherly instinct in there too. I'm sad about R. Moat and then I got a bit sad that you seemed to be attacking each other. Carry on lads! Just don't draw blood! Promise? Lady G. |

Would that be the police officer who nicked himself, shaving?
Bit controversial, the previous comment. Regards Skoob. |

Oh, this is all getting a bit weird.
I can't tell if some of you lot are being serious about that Roaul Moate mischief maker. Personally, I am against killing. Unless its somebody I fucking hate. But that is another story. That lovable cheeky rogue Raoul made his own mess. He gets no sympathy. How many Holocaust survivors went bonkers shooting people and getting Mohican hairstyles (an absolute fashion disgrace)? None. (well, I'm presuming none) I'm sick of excuses being made by fat fuckers with Mochican's who go around shooting innocent people. What was so shit about his life that he could take the time to go on Faecesbook and prance about in his muscle shirt....with his poxy Mochian hairstyle? And that orange t-shirt he was seen in. Shameful. He would have been up for Holland last night too - if he were alive. Lynton, curse you! Curse you for your overly long comments! It's infectious. See what you've done? See? You've got me doing it now too! At least make it easier to read by changing the colour of the paragraphs. And Lady Godiva, I'll deal with your over use of 'love' and 'empathy' and 'cuddles' at a later stage. |

John Wolf, you little bastard.
Cut that shit out. You can't be saying that kind of stuff. Thats the talk of a student, that is. And I fucking hate students. Hate them , I do. You're on the list, matey. |

Did I say EMPATHY? I can't 'empathize' with Moat coz I've never killed anyone - so 'sympathy' would be the correct term. Also, I can't sympathize with him now coz he's ded.
Also, I've been trying to figure out how to use the 'colour' thingy here coz black type is boring...and I prefer purple. My brother's a policeman in Cleveland England so I'll save my 'sympathy' for the injured bobby and his family & friends. |

Well I only did 1 Moat story and the only connection with R Moat was the headline 'Police Shoot Moat' - the story was a silly piece about String (sic) and his mates - but I decided to unpublish it because I didn't want to exploit the tragedy I'd already exploited mildly. Doesn't mean I think the spoof should shut down. Would feel the same about any disaster large or small. If someone close to me went the Moat way, or someone close to me was murdered, I'm not sure I could write a spoof about it.
I did do a joke about Jack the Ripper in my 'classifieds' though and jokes about Hitler, Stalin & Mao and Pol Pot. So does distance make it OK? I thought Skoob's (and some others') articles were spot on because they were actually saying/satirising something rather than being mere skilful exploitations of the newsworthiness of the story. Each to their own though. |

Hi Mr. Wolfe -
You prowl the forums like a Wolf, you lurk in the 'Online now' list like a Wolf and above all, controversy, you stalk like a Wolf. It all gets me to wondering - can you lick your own arse too? |

I don't lurk in any online list, I assure you I spend most of my time reading spoof stories and thinking up possible ideas for my own. |

I'm not even going to click on that link ( or links). Wolf's avatar is scary enough.....
I went to answer the phone and the avatar changed so I'm editing. Doesn't sound like Wolf's ever lost a loved one to suicide. I HAVE. It's not bloody funny! |

My apologies on your loss, though I do have my own personal reasons for hating the police, though still no pun to your brother. |

My brother, the policeman, is still alive and doing his job, VERY WELL. He doesn't carry a gun, and doesn't wish to.
It was my uncle who took his own life. Also a 21 year old girl who I met in hospital. (That was only last year.) She was extremely depressed - not that I need to explain anything to you of course. I too am from Northern England. Middlesbrough to be exact. |

Hmm! I've been looking for an article by the Wolf, but haven't found any. ?????????
I wanted to ask him what the phrase 'no pun to your brother' means!!!!!!!! Curiouser and curiouser (if there IS such a word - I think it's actual 'more curious and more curious'). |

I say, old chap, do you really believe this? Let's talk about it. Or, if you prefer, I'll talk about it, and you read. (When I say 'talk', I do, of course, mean 'write'.) I can't think that you mean Mr Moat did one good thing in attempting to kill any 'police officer'. There may, it's true, be some police officers that don't come up to scratch, but do they deserve to die? I think probably not. You are being a bit controversial with your comments to attract just this kind of attention. Instead of this 'copper nonsense', I should like to ask you what you think of Vegemite. Once we have discussed that to death, we will move on to another subject, to try to wean you off this dislike for the police force. OK? Well, let's get started., Time, as you probably know, is money. Well, John, when was it you first tasted Vegemite? |

Well Lewis Carrol thought otherwise because he had Alice say it - that doesn't mean you are wrong though LG although he was a professor of Logic and Mathematics he wrote Jabberwocky too and you know how Bryllig that was. |

John, I'm not going to your link.
I know bloody well what my wife looks like, thank you very much. She's invisible. The way I like her to be. Lady Godiva (or whoever the hell I was talking to before), Raoul Moate was a knob-jockey. Thats that. And as for the 'empathy/sympathy' thingy: I think you are a serial killer so that why I said you had empathy and sympathy for ol' Mohican-Man. No offense. Tally ho! Lynton, stop forcing John to write. If he doesn't want to then he shouldn't have to. He'd only write about killing cops. Or pigs. Or rozzers. |
