No offence JB, but I don't think you are contributing to this debate.

What do you think of navel lint?

A debate as serious as this one needs some comic relief.

Let's hear some opposing views now.

Anyone?

Abortion is a serious issue that women should resolve. Two of three women want to make that decision.
AS USUAL BY THE LEFT, THE PUMPED NUMBERS OF TWO-THIRDS AREN'T FACTUAL.

The people who are opposed to abortion are also opposed to welfare for mothers who bear children. Once your born, the right to lifers could care less what happens to the kid.
ONCE AGAIN, YOU MAKE THE ASSUMPTION THAT UNWED MOTHERS ARE WELFARE MOTHERS...RACIST ISN'T IT? I SAY IF THEY CAN'T AFFORD THE UNPLANNED CHILDREN THERE ARE MANY ADOPTION SOURCES AVAILABLE. IT'S OBVIOUS THAT THE PEOPLE WHO DON'T CARE ARE THE ONES BEING IRRESPONSIBLE.

During the Bush administration the right talked about abstinence pledges and chastity rings and we had a bumper crop of unwed mothers. The best way to reduce abortion is with sex education and contraception, not with abstinence and chastity rings. The right has blockeTHE FACTS BEAR THIS...UNWED BIRTHS ACTUALLY WENT DOWN FOR THE AGE GROUP 16-19 DURING THE BUSH TERMS AFTER A GRADUAL EIGHT YEAR RISE DURING CLINTON. IT SEEMS THE LAST DEMOCRATIC PRESIDENT (CLINTON) COULD HAVE USED A LESSON ON SEX EDUCATION, PERSONAL RESPONSIBILTY, AND HAVING THE BEST INTERESTS OF HIS COUNTRY IN MIND INSTEAD OF WHAT HIS LIBIDO AND EGO NEEDED.

That's true.

But the nonsensical, rambling, insensitive, deliberately cruel and random shit that just dribbled out of the fuckwit JB's fingertips could hardly be called comic relief could it? If pus could speak it would sound like JB.

Septic.

The morning after pill is a debatable subject, I can see the arguments both for and against, personally I'm for it. I don't think it should be sold over the pharmacy counters like a packet of Smarties though.

Aborting a baby at any thing up to 24 weeks is wrong. We can call it a foetus and make it sound all medical like, but it's still quite obviously a baby.

Ever notice that the vocal left will support selective murder of a fetus as a choice, similar to choosing which outfit to wear that day, but will show outrage towards capitol punishment and to have one held responsible for their actions?

Never could get that.

You made me think on that.

Yep. It's always a choice until you're the one getting aborted.

This is interesting.

If abortion is murder, a mantra so many people like to spout, shouldn't the woman who has the abortion be tried for murder?

It would be 1st degree murder because to qualify for Murder 1, there has to be planning, forethought and malice along with the actual homicide.

What better example of planning is there than making an appointment to MURDER a baby!

I don't know what the laws are in England, Ireland, etc. but here in America people who commit 1st degree murder are often (depending on what state they live in) given the Death Penalty.

Many people on here have made their pro-Death Penalty views known.

Following that train of thought, shouldn't women who have abortions be tried for 1st degree murder and given the ultimate punishment (death) or at the very least Life in prison w/o parole?

Isn't that only fair?

Who agrees with me? Anyone?

Check this out: http://www.tldm.org/News8/UnwedMothers.htm

I've have seen the surveys. Two of three women want to make the decision. They don't want the government telling them what to do. This doesn't mean the ladies support abortion. What is the constitutional basis for banning abortion?

Tom Lee, a former representative form VA, actually provided this statistic in a report to the RNC.

Oh dear!

Some very serious opinions today.
Fergus especially.
Go out and play with your kids to calm down.

Victor, Fuck off.
Or stay. Whatever.

I'd love to hear the opinions of those who matter - women.
Suppose women don't bother visiting this lovely site.

Sorry, Queen Mudder.

In my argument that women who have abortions should be tried for murder and given the death penalty or life in prison, I was trying to point out the fallacy in the notion that abortion is indeed murder.

Shouldn't law makers and the powers that be put their morals where their big mouths are and make abortion a capital crime?

These are the same people who see every issue in black and white. Shades of gray don't exist in their world view.

My question still stands: Should a woman who has an abortion be put in the same category as someone who murders their friend or neighbor or lover?

Since they're both murders should they be housed in cells side by side on Death Row or share a cell for the rest of their lives?

Who's gonna step up and challenge me?

PS: I'm pro-choice/pro-death penalty. Not that it matters much.

As far as I remember we are here to take the piss out of each other and those who deserve it.
Why don't you politically, serious minded guys take your discussions onto sites where you can all shoot your fucking brains, intellect and opinions across the bows of sickheads who think they can change the world by their high opinions.
Please leave these forums for those who just wanna have a bit of high-ranking fun and banter!

I can't remember who said. I'm finding it really hard to cope with a world that doesn't sway any more, or a world without spinning ceilings. I think I'm becoming one of the lost boys or something.

I called the Samaritans but they hung up on me.
