It should never really have been in the General Discussion thread anyway - it's just basically two or three writers sucking one another off and telling each other how sexy they are.

It should have been put in Writers Discussion from day one.

But, as an idea for a game, it seems perfectly harmless, and I don't really see what the problem is. There are a lot of threads on this forum, and many of them are complete wastes of time. I know; I've started some of them, myslef.

Here in Iceland we endorse the last two postings, both of which bring clarity and wisdom to the table of argument and should be heeded.

With all respect, I think I do get it.

Saying that the posts of MW and Fergus don't count doesn't alter anything. Regardless of their attitudes, what they posts is simple fact and common sense.

The acronym thread is just another harmless thread of nonsense on a spoof forum.

As we have asked elsewhere:

Why pick on the acronyms?

Is there any evidence that it is a 'distraction' to our 'readership'? Are they gathering outside the gates of Spoof Towers with their anti-acronym placards?

Why is the acronym thread percieved as being so poisonous?

I've got a lot of time for you and CJ but we must agree to differ on this one.
