I want to add that although the standard of service is crap, there are certain shops that at least partially balance this by selling great things for very low prices.
The bargain bin type shops that do discount goods are amazing. I bought a yoga mat today that was 4 times cheaper than another rip off store.

Its the knick-knack stuff that is coming down in price (batteries, cutlery, household stuff, etc) while big items are still stupidly expensive.

And I would recommend people to stock up on light bulbs before they vanish from the shelves. I bought a pack of 20 (!) yesterday before the Apocalypse comes.


PS: That builder I talked about before came and went and got the job done without trying to sell anything else to my parents. He did leave a mess though. Bastard.

The roof is still unfixed and as bad as ever.
