Bargis is correct. Viet vets were not treated well. At least the soldiers returning today are not spit upon.

But there were others who were nice. The San Francisco Airport had a place where we could sleep and free doughnuts and coffee. Also, most flights that had extra seats in first class, came back to coach and moved some of us up front as special guests. Only time I've even flown First Class.

Remember all those troops every day not just on Veteran's Day.

I think they should have a 'Mom's of Veterans Day' A special day to remember how hard it is/was for mothers everywhere to say goodbye to a son or daughter, knowing full well that the person who's leaving will be eternally touched by war and untimately changed by the time they come home.
