I'm not joking here, or being satirical in any way, but my neighbour's dog just crashed the garden fence and killed our cat.
I'm not kidding here - I had to pass the news on to my granddaughter. She was distraught. I am in a seriously bad mood. Regards Skoob |

Skoob, found most dogs reflect their owner's personalities.
They should be put down. No need for that kind of behaviour... Regrets. Morse |

Cap
My neighbour didn't sail on HMS Buggerall. However, like Emperor Hirohito, They may just have unleashed a shitstorm. I can be a bit scary when riled. Don't let your dog kill my cat, or you might be in for a very bad day. 15 years we had that cat, and it gets chased out of its comfort zone by a fucking mad dog that breaks the fence down.. Gets its neck snapped in a back alley. I'm so angry right now. Skoob. |

This is my 'codeword'. You want me to come and kill the dog? Or the owner?
All right, all right, settle down. That'll be £500, Skoob, and nobody will ever see either of them again. |

Thanks
Can't sleep right now. We didn't even get an apology. Scares me even more thinking it could have been one of the toddlers. I'm really struggling internally right now to control the rage I'm feeling. Thanks to Abel and Mrs Morse for their caring E-mails. I could easily have gone off the deep end over this, but I'll leave it to the authorities. Sorry Spoof writers, but at 2am there aren't many places to vent. Sorry for being self indulgent. Regards Skoob. |

Maybe ask Mark for a Self-Indulgent/Venting Forum? Vent away, Skoob. You might want to be careful about neighbours, Skoob. Things always go downhill after something like this. Take my advice - kill them or move. |

I truly feel for you. We have 3 cats and a neighbor with a little fluff of a dog that every time they are out, the neighbor tells the dog to "get the cat." I didn't let him get it out twice before I told him what a childish person he was and that he'd better believe my cats would make sure his dog didn't do it twice either.
Your neighbors need to know that dogs like that are dangerous. You are right, what if it had been a toddler? but realistically, a poor 15-year old cat is just as heart breaking. Although you want to blame the dog, it's better you don't. He didn't know any better than what he was taught. Forgive the dog, call the police on the owners, if you haven't already and let them deal. |

Thanks for that Charpa.
This happened, and I suppose I needed somewhere to vent. We still haven't even had an apology. The cops are coming round, but by then, the dog will have been moved elsewhere. Where I come from, we have ways of dealing with this kind of thing, but I won't go down that road. (Mind you, if I see that dog I'll smash its head in with a claw hammer) Thanks for your concern, it really is appreciated. Sometimes it's just so tempting to revert to being a bad ass. I won't do that though, I'll take the legal route. Thanks Charpa, I appreciate the thoughts. It's just a little hard to deal with when you have to tell your granddaughter that her favourite pet's been killed because people are irresponsible dog owners. The cat was in our back garden, not theirs, their dog broke through and chased it down. Sorry again to bug you guys with this, but it's tough to deal with your wife in tears because some incinsiderate individual doesn't care. They'll learn. You can trust me on that one and take it to the bank. Thanks Skoob. |

There's absolutely no reason for you to apologise. What an awful way to have to end a weekend. No writer here is going to begrudge you as much space as you need to get it all out.
I think we all feel your pain right now and as hard as it is for you to comprehend, these things happen sometimes to pull us out of our comfort zones and help us decide what kind of human being we want to be. Feel fortunate that you are nothing like your uncaring and inconsiderate neighbors. I know it's hard but you'll feel better if you rise about it and let the law take care of it. |

Skoob, I hope you got some sleep, or are getting it right now. I saw your comment in the magazine thread and suggested you put up photos of the stupid dog owners all over the neigborhood--sorry, neighbourhood--with the caption CAT KILLERS!!!! I was only partially being a smartass.
And now I come home from work to read this thread, to find that the bastards DIDN'T EVEN APOLOGIZE and that they STILL JUST DON'T GET IT, and I think how any hesitation I had about Operation Smear Posters was really misplaced. Now I'm thinking your next cat should be a tiger, or a puma, or maybe a leopard. Let it jump the fence one fine day and go for the dog. THEN maybe they will "get it." But of course that's not fair to the dog. Let the new cat go for the neighbors instead. Oops. Shit happens. All of which is my way of saying damn. Give my condolences to your wife and granddaughter, et al., and take a few for yourself. But do think about the tiger. Or puma. Or leopard. |

Bloody hell! Just read this..! What can I say Skoobie? That bloody Charpa girl is absolutely right.. Fu*kin' women! How come they know so much.. So.. you'll have to spare the murdering dog.. Or at least give it a fair trial... But the owners.. Let me offer a Bolivian solution.. Buy cheap mince.. crush up lightbulbs.. combine the two into a burger... add salt and pepper.. balsamic vinegar if you've got any.. a few herbs wouldn't go amiss.. Fry in butter mixed with virgin olive oil.. .. 3 minutes either side... Serve on a plate.... then deliver to said neighbours with a friendly note.. No Bad Feelings... Love Skoob Feeling for you mate.. CJ |

Hey JO,
Why bother with a pitbull when you have a perfectly good claw hammer. Not that I'm advocating violence. Siberian tiger's still the most appealing option. Kindest Skoob. |
