It snowed a bit here last night.

Didn't stick though.

What did stick - right in my craw - was that we shelled out £1,227.91 at Comet for a 50" plasma screen TV.

Now I'll be able to watch Loose Women, Alan Titchmarsh and Tommy Bastard Walsh in High Definition.

Or more likely spend more time Spoofing.

Regards

Skoob.

Dimmock's knockers in High Definition? Groan men bleed internally from less.

Hi Mark

"No fair" ?

Stephen King's 'Pet Sematery' ?

Just wondered.

Scary book, decent film.

I'll be able to watch it in HD soon.

Along with Tommy Bastard Walsh, Alan Bastard Titchmarsh, and Charlie Bastard Dimmocks upstanding bits.

And on Blu Ray.

Hang on a minute...maybe this isn't going to be as bad as I first thought...

Regards

Skoob.

Does ths mean we'll get running commentary on the spots on the HD ass on late night pay per view?

Should be interesting. As should your reaction when you see the same TV at half the price in the January sales!

Come to Chicago. Your balls will freeze off at O'Hare before you even get to town. AND we have snow!

I don't like snow. It gives me an upset stomach.

It's also only one flavour, no matter what colour it is. That's a con, that is.

3 degrees today (That's -16 for you Brits), and a happy snow pile about 3 feet tall around the outside edges of my driveway (Almost a meter). Barely cold enough for a jacket, and the heavy stuff hasn't started coming down yet.

Wind Chill? Fairy Tales. Lies. Figments of someone's imagination.

Not much snow here.

I am not sure if I would rather mow the lawn once a week or shovel snow twice a month.

Lynton, lovely town Saskatoon, except for the cold.

Ok it's started snowing in East Manchester....

We now have the lightest of dustings, it looks like a Starbucks chocolate dusting, it's that light (except, not brown). I could probably count the flakes.

I guess that's East Manchester's traffic screwed then. All the trains will have to stop, and they'll be power outages.

I remember it being very dark a lot of the time and coming up from the equator to visit I had to borrow adequate clothing. No wonder my essentials dropped off. However, the surgeons were wonderful. Being snowed in there were no prosthetics available so they replaced them with two onions, now everytime I pee I start crying!

Actually PM to me 3 degrees is a distant memory of a 1970's Supremes-type trio of voluptuous ladies drooled over by a younger but no less lascivious Prince of Wales. Since then the climate change problem people said that there were now four degrees due to global warming. However, a recent email leak has shown that the data was fudged and that there are only two now.

Oh joy. on the weather it says it's snowing in Copenhagen!
Why aren't you there PM it said in the paper that The PM would be there! Slacker!

Here in France we have about 3cms (that's about 1 inch to non metrics PM)otherwise known in ancient measurements as one coldcocksworth. A few weeks ago there were a couple of articles on official weights and measures - that merits a thread of its own and some group work.

Love France actually, hate the Disney park they tried to force on you, and by the way, is a poor representation of what the best parts of Americana are. Striped sailor shirts and Pirates of Penzance caps at the hotels? Poodle dresses and Bouffant hair at the 50's diner?... I don't think so.

Sad also that a small group of US engineers, draftsmen, and architects managed to put the skids to our adoption of the metric system, led by the SAE community. Ah well. Back to conversion of inches. No additional snow accumulation today, 13 degrees F.

Never been to Copenhagen.... Sounds nice.

A little more self criticism: As for the SAE, (Society of Automotive Engineers) in the US.... Hmmm. Let me see. Where did their arrogance of vision, and non adoption of international standards (tools, testing, and quality assurance) take them? Bankrupcy I think.

"Hello. I am a US automotive certified engineer. Would you like fries with that order?"

That the first thing any new graduate says after getting his degree these days.

Disneyland France is the pits. Friend of mine used to be on the management team there and used t smuggle us in over the back fence. My son loved it but I remember it was New Years Day and it snowed. It never snows in Disneyland except for a few hours at xmas and that is never right unless it is polystyrene!

snow belongs in the mountains under snowboards and skis and on top of idiots who dare to play loud music and scream.

'Ello, Lynton -

Holy mukluks - that's cold, baby!

Barely apropos of your comment, one of my favorite Guess Who songs is "Runnin' Back To Saskatoon." I don't think there's anything in there about frozen 'nads, though. Still, I always loved the name Burton Cummings, for some arcanely sexy reason.

Warmly,
G. Slim
