Speaking on LBC, I said I fear for Mr Clarke in the upcoming reshuffle because he is "far too human" to be accepted by Conservative backbench MPs.

Luckily for him he is a far too well off for his new position to affect his fanances, and will be able to continue his enjoyment of cigars, jazz, birdwatching and motor racing.
