A phenomenal letter I found while perusing the Yorkshire post:

I wrote to the Letters Page on August 4, asking for anyone to let me know how to go about making Sir Jimmy Savile a saint.

In answer to Tony Schofield's letter (YEP, August 10), probably you are right. Jim would be too modest to think about being a saint, but Jimmy has passed over and it's up to us to suggest and push forward the thoughts we all have of this great man.

I truly believe Jim should be made a saint. He started all the modern charities, they wouldn't be here now if not for the caring Jimmy Savile.
