Adolf Hitler - My Fake Diary

Wednesday, 5 September 2012

Ich found this in the press:

In 2012, it should really go without saying that you shouldn't call your clothing store Hitler. It should also go without saying that you shouldn't include swastikas on your company's logo. And yet, that's exactly what a man named Rajesh Shah just did. About two weeks ago, he opened his new clothing store called Hitler in India and revealed its swastiska-branded logo-and he's catching a ton of heat both for the name of the store and the image that it projects.

Now, don't get it twisted. Shah is not a supporter of Adolf Hitler. He's not a Nazi and he didn't call his store Hitler in order to try and get a rise out of people. In fact, he claims that he didn't even know who Hitler was until he opened the store and people started to get upset. He says that "Hitler" is actually a nickname that people use to refer to his grandfather, who is a part-owner of the store. The nickname derives from the fact that his grandfather was very strict when he was growing up. But, he says he didn't know what it meant.

Do you believe that?
