Anthony Weiner, the former Democratic congressman from New York, applied for citizenship in the Caribbean tax haven Saint Lucia, say sources.
Weiner plans to make Amsterdam his second home and occasionally will make business trips to America after having renounced his American citizenship. He started a multi-million dollar export company in Saint Lucia, similar to Amazon.
Weiner was released from federal prison and temporarily stayed in a halfway house, records show.
He served about 15 months in the Federal Medical Center in Devens, Massachusetts, until he was transferred to a residential re-entry center in Brooklyn, New York, according to a Jewish human rights organization.
It's being reported that Weiner and his associates plan to open a large non-profit organization in Israel to help fund hospitals and schools for Israeli citizen.
"I may decide to change my name in Saint Lucia, to Albert Ladenburg," says Weiner.
Life seems to be getting brighter for Anthony Weiner after leaving America.
