A hungry seal pup is recovering at the Mayhew animal charity after the stinky smell of spoiled fish got the better of him.
The seal pup, who appears about four weeks old, was found miles from the sea, after apparently sniffing his way to the Fish Restaurant in, London, England.
He was found digging into a garbage can filled with maggot-covered fish heads behind the commoner's restaurant.
Mayhew veterinarian, Lea Dinmont, said she was surprised by the call, "thinking it was a prank call", but when she arrived, she saw the seal alive in the kitchen.
The cook, Cocker Buchalter, is complaining the seal took a cack outside his restaurant, and he decided to clean the creature in a pot of cold water to prepare him for a soup.
The Mayhew charity took custody of the seal pup, because it was sick with a contagious disease. After it's well, the charity plans to release it at sea.
