It was a bad time all round. That was the conclusion of Penny Smythe as she looked at the Premier League table.

'West Ham still stuck to the bottom. I thought we'd get at least a point at home to Newcastle' she complained to Terry who was also down in the dumps.

'Here's my Dad going on about the cuts and I have to put up with my mother complaining about my dirty football things. Just when I need a boost - along come the Hammers with another blow.'

'I thought we were getting better and at least Carlton Cole scored for a change, but we LOST. Is Avram on the way out do you think?'

'I expect they'll keep him for the Carling Cup game against Stoke as he's got this knack with Cup games. But I shouldn't think he'll last until Christmas unless we start to win matches.'

'And then there's Grandma in Hospital again and my parents are arguing about what Seb should do. He's not keen on University but they want him to go but my Dad says he won't give any financial support. Mum is furious but Dad says young people should not rely on their parents but on themselves.'

'It's going to be expensive to got to University' said Terry
'My Dad says the Tories hate Universities because they help people to think.'

'They went to Universities themselves and look what they think now!'

'Let's cheer ourselves up and go to the cinema. We don't have to watch the film.'
