If you are a taxpayer in England and you think you are squeaky clean when it comes to illegal drugs etc., think again!
Apparently, some of your tax monies are helping pay for methadone or other heroine substitutes for inmates in the prison system.
Hey! They have 'rights' too you know! Poor babies!
"The report by independent think-tank Policy Exchange warned that by next year 73,000 prisoners will be receiving the medication for three months or more, thanks to legal action taken by inmates themselves. "
So think about it. You are paying for drugs for drug addicts and are therefore, by association, accomplices and should be prosecuted, just like other drug dealers.
This means that you too could soon find yourself behind bars for 'funding' this 'so called' programme which is supposed to wean addicts off drugs.
Problem? They are drug addicts and they will sell their methadone to the highest bidder. Who is watching over these transactions?
Also, a recent report has prisoners whining. They argued :
short-term de- toxification subjected them to "inhuman or degrading treatment". Almost 200 prisoners received compensation following an out of court settlement in 2006.
Poor babies! I wonder how many of them committed crimes which caused 'inhuman or degrading treatment' to their innocent victims, who received NO compensation.
This report is extremely disturbing.
Prisoners have it 'too good'. Three meals a day, free board and lodge. Clothes paid for. Leisure time after menial work tasks. It's all been said before.
We are the mugs
Also, it is well know that many prisoners who go into prison 'clean' - come out addicted to drugs.
There is definitely something wrong with this picture.
Update: Britain didn't win!
