Patrick, from the old country in Ireland, was finally going to take his trip of a lifetime, he was going to fly to New York and spend a week in the big city, a dream come true for him, he had wanted to all his life.
Mrs. Shannon Dunn, who lived nearby, heard of his trip, and stopped by his house one day. "Patrick, I wonder if you would do me a favor. My son Michael left for New York three years ago and we haven't heard from him since. I'd appreciate it if you could try to look him up and ask him to write and let us know how he is."
Patrick told Mrs. Dunn that he would try to find her boy. He told her, "It's a big city, I don't know how successfull I will be, but I will try to find Michael for you."
A few days later, Patrick went to the airport, boarded his plane, and started on his once in a lifetime journey.
The plane landed in New York, and Patrick looked around and was amazed at how large the airport was. He needed to get his luggage and find a cab to take him to his hotel. By the time he found his luggage and made his way to the entrance, he realized that he had to go to the restroom before finding a cab.
He located one near the door, put his luggage inside, and looked for an empty stall. They were all full, and he needed to find one that was vacant. He saw feet moving under one door, knocked, and asked, "Are you done?"
The reply came back, "Yes."
Patrick was startled at his good fortune, but replied, "Well, why don't you write to your Mother in Ireland."
