She held on to the hanging strap in the crowded bus as it skidded around a corner.
"You could be gentlemanly enough to give a pregnant woman a seat," she said to the man who sat before her.
He smiled, stood, and moved aside. She sat. For the next few blocks the man eyed her critically; then he said: "Pardon me, lady, but if you're in a family way, you sure don't show it. How long have you been pregnant?"
"About an hour. And am I tired!"
