The Scarecrow

A man is driving through the country on his way to his friend's farm. Once there, he stops his car and looks at a terrifying scarecrow standing in the field. It has its hands on its hips, and its horrible features are staring back at him from several yards away. The man shivers at the terrifying façade, and drives up to his friend's house, finding him sitting on his porch.
"Morning, Bill! I just saw your new scarecrow," the visitor tells his friend. "That was gawdawful scary! I think I'm gonna have nightmares after looking at that thing! That scarecrow will keep the birds away for sure!"
His friend nods with a frown replying, "Yeah, but my mother-in-law has to come in for a rest sooner or later!"
