I'm often told that I don't appreciate certain writers' humour because of the differences between British humour and US humour.

I don't agree. I was dragged up watching American TV comedy shows, and laughed along with everyone else.

And who wouldn't laugh at 'Airplane'?

I can also appreciate good American stand-ups when I see them. I'll name George Carlin here, just so you know that I know what the fuck I'm talking about.
