Extract from Story:
BILLINGSGATE POST: You might have to change your minds about the relevancy of unintended coincidences. But with all of the handwringing attention being given to the Worldwide Coronavirus epidemic, perhaps some linguistic analysis of the semordnilap origins of the virus is called for. In the World of Etymology, which is the study of words and the way in which their meanings have changed througho.....

As Slim says, there’s real meat here as one reading is not enough. It’s dense and well thought out. But, with absolutely no disrespect intended to the good Doctor, I’m not sure I get the point of it. The final analysis of the words makes no sense. That I don’t get it is on me of course. But again, with absolutely no disrespect intended, I’d like to know what it is that appeals to you about it?

You're right, it's drivel. What swayed me was the Dr's writing, the genuine energy in there. It swings or sings, and that's a sign of quality in my book. The idea of the mysterious anoraks who will be our saviours (scientists? an inglorious army of nerds or geeks?) also has a haunting resonance throughout the decaying halls of my ancient mind.

Thanks for your kind words.

It is pure drivel. But isn’t that exactly what we strive for with this nonsense? I don’t know how to write seriously. Otherwise, I would.

Semordnilapism is a lost art. Paradoxically, if you can’t write without using it, you shouldn’t wear your scivvies inside out.

Keep safe, my friends.

For some reason, this story will not die. There have been 11,618 hits, and they just keep on coming. It is by far, my most read story.

It is so non-sensical, that even I don’t know what the point of the story is.

I can tell you why.

I promoted it on all my social media sites and sent to my mailing list (30,000+).

How can I compensate you for this? I would like to share my earnings with you. Do you take PayPal?

How about me?

Do I get a share of the spoils?

No, wait. I'm not sure I read it.

Was it any good?

I always wondered why my piece , “Jesus spelled backwards doesn’t really mean anything and neither ( I’ve noticed ) do a lot of other words” didn’t do very well. It needed backing by important people.

Just make a donation to my favorite charities; "Habitats For Hotties", and "Dyslexic Lives Mattress". Cheers.
