Clive. Trump was the only leader to stop flights from China to USA when evidence of the epidemic became known. He was accused of being xenophobic for that. Now he is suspending all travel from Europe except U.K. because these countries dropped the ball and allowed China flights to continue. And now Italy has a real epidemic.

Please give him some credit for his proactive measures.

Why didn't he block flights from South Korea or Iran then? And why most of Europe but not the UK and Ireland?

The US President is a cretinous narcissist with as much clue about governing as he has at colouring in his face.

Anyone still supporting the twat after all this time needs their head read.

To answer your questions: If Iran entered our airspace, they would be shot down. The only reason South Korea flights were not cancelled was that the delivery of kimchee to Mar-a-Lago would be affected. Trump cannot live without authentic kimchee.

He has golf courses in Scotland and Ireland. Why would he jeopardize his holdings in those countries?

Perhaps you should read my latest story regarding Trump building a retractable dome over continental USA. It may change your mind concerning his mental facilities and his ability to think outside the box.

Best,

Dr. B

The idea of a dome is an interesting one.
I imagine that many Trumpists may take the idea seriously.
"Build the dome," could become their new cry.
His supporters among the Christian fundamentalists and flat-Earthers will be utterly confused because they believe there is already a dome.
Is he building his dome beneath the celestial dome? Or are the domes to join up?
Either way I fear for humanity.

"We have things... lots of things... different things...we’re doing a great job" - President Trump reflecting on the war on covid-19.

I can see some similarities between 'Winnie' and the Donald as it happens.
For example, they are both fat and both served in the military with great distinction.

Clive. Although there were rumors that Winnie had bone spurs, it was only after The Donald was declared unable to serve because of this painful condition, that this ailment received the respect it deserved.

Countless men of draft age during the Vietnam war were considered unable to serve because of this disabling condition and didn’t have to crawl to Canada to get out of fighting. Instead, they overcame this disability and became excellent Disco dancers.

Incidentally, most are now confined to wheelchairs; a Win- Win result for everyone.

I agree. But it is not unusual for graduates of business schools, such as Trump, to have never taken a course in English. The Wharton School, from which Trump matriculated, is notorious for downgrading students who can spell and use more than one adjective to describe events.

I have a book by David Reynolds, 'In Command Of History' about how Churchill wrote his history of WW2. Very interesting, and very big. And heavy.

Even the small details are interesting - to me, at least.

Take, for example, his 'discussions' with his proofreader, Charles Carlyle Wood, with whom he would argue about commas.

Wood must have been a jolly good fellow.

I was introduced to Churchill’s six volumes on the Second World War while in college. He was a prolific writer. I did a paper on the subject. That was 60 years ago. Don’t remember how he used commas. In fact, I can’t remember how I used them.

Not a comma freak. Hemingway is a good model. Like anything else, they should be used with discretion.

Real people are going to vote for this guy, incidentally.

Yes, you heard me right. Real live people.

There are lots of really entertaining videos on Facebook etc with interviewers interviewing (as they do) Trump supporters.

The genocide of the (so-called) Native Americans wasn't in vain then.

(Similar thoughts occur in relation to another genocide-featuring continent that has spawned the likes of Rolf Harris.)

I would dispute this. Hemingway was a poor model. He couldn't get the walk right. That's why he became a writer.

Like anything else, they should be used with discretion.

Not sure about that. Some things are best used with custard.
