it's not safe to walk the streets in Christchurch.

Thieves are reported racing from orchards on scooters with duvet covers full of avocados.

Due to the hilariously unruly weather everything is either dying unexpectedly or ripening at the same time in great quantities. I have a friend swapping favours for plums and if anyone else offers me tomatoes I will personally shove one up their aperture ( although they are only being kind). Avocados I would consider though definitely. Not figs though. I used to love figs until I discovered that they are fertilised by tiny wasps which then die and decompose inside them. Definitely not figs.

Yes, I carry an epi-pen for that very purpose. It’s just so difficult to get it in to a flying bee, it’s almost pointless.

You need to swat them down and step on them first, then you can stick em good.

Gendarmes giving chase caused criminals on scooters to crash into a fruit stand of limes creating guacamole destroying the evidence.
