image for Saudi Arabian "slut walk" cancelled
What a slut!!

"Slut walks" are a feminist phenomenon which have been hugely popular throughout the West. On a walk, scantily-clad women protest their right to wear whatever they want without being sexually assaulted - but it has proven to be too controversial for the extremely religious Saudi Arabian authorities.

A march was planned to be held this Friday in Jeddah following afternoon prayers, but was cancelled after a religious group called the Jeddah Knights complained. It seems unlikely that another slut walk will be organised in the country in the near future.

In the planned Saudi slut walk, women were expected to still cover themselves up but were encouraged to reveal their ankles. Instead of the slogan "No means no" used in Western protests, the protest was to use the message, "No means not tonight, but since your parents and my parents agreed we should get married and I am never allowed to speak to another man outside my family, I don't really have much choice."

The story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
