The ISI, Pakistan's main intelligence agency, has admitted major failings in allowing Osama Bin Laden to stay in a multi million pound compound in a leafy suburb of scenic Abbottabad.
An ISI source confessed that the agency had visited the three story fortress shortly after the building was completed in 2005.
Pakistani agents interviewed the main resident in the house, Obama Lin Saden, and were happy that Mr Saden was occupying the house legitimately.
The agents ran Mr Saden's name through all available intelligence databases and nothing untoward occurred.
Obama's laptop was checked by I.T. experts and , although plans of American embassies around the world were found on the hard drive, they were satisfied with the explanation that he was studying to be an architect.
As regards the large stash of rocket launchers and anti aircraft guns found in his basement, Mr Saden's explained that he was just "looking after them for a friend"
