A major international row broke out today between the US, Britain and India following the undignified events that took place in an Indian restaurant last night.
It has emerged that prior to the President's state visit to India, he was briefed on the etiquette required within Indian restaurants by top aide Casper B Wafer jnr, who had recently returned to Washington following a posting as US cultural Ambassador to Manchester, England.
During Mr Wafer's stay in Manchester he had frequently visited the city's famous curry mile - A road that is lined with Indian restaurants, and he had observed at first hand the normal behaviour of customers and staff.
He had briefed the President accordingly.
Mr Wafer's briefing is now being blamed for the fact that the President's Personal Secretary passed out after drinking eight pints of Tiger beer, the Press Secretary threw up on the carpet, Michelle Obama went to the Ladies room and escaped through the window, and the President ran out of the restaurant without paying the bill, having first filled his pockets with complimentary mints.
The restaurant owners have now lodged papers with the United Nations for recovery of the bill, together with cleaning costs for the carpet.
The US is expected to sue Britain later this week.
