image for Victoria Beckham to perform in person to trapped chilean miners
Excited Chilean miner,

Trapped Chilean miners were given hope today as the T-130 drilling machine being used to reach then has now broken through to the tunnel where the miners have taken refuge 2070 feet below the surface.

Unfortunately the hole is only twelve inches wide and it will take some considerable time before the miners will have widened the hole enough so they can be hoisted to freedom, with November being the earliest estimate for their escape.

Luckily for the miners news of the latest developments have reached celebrity royalty in the form of pipe cleaner thin Posh Spice aka Victoria Beckham. In an amazingly brave interview she allegedly has offered to be lowered down the narrow shaft, and then once down give a morale boosting performance of her extremely popular music in person to the weary miners.

Posh went on to say that " As soon as I heard of the developments I knew I was the only person who could help. Because of my strict diet of cabbage water and dust I am of a rather slender disposition and will easily be able to pass through the passage with inches to spare. I cannot wait to be able to cheer the miners up with my singing."

There are unconfirmed reports tonight of noise coming from the deep shaft. It is believed to be the miners screaming with excitement at the prospect of her arrival ( at least that what we think it is).

Make Tom Crews's day - give this story five thumbs-up (there's no need to register, the thumbs are just down there!)

The story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
