For a nation that has always bragged about its sovereignty; claimed it wants 'peaceful relations with its neighbors; accused India of not being 'big enough to be more charitable' towards it and pontificating at large about its peaceful credentials , nowhere has Pak's duplicity been more evident than now - in its worst moment in history.
The civilian govt is proving how utterly incompetent it is by its inability to start relief measures for flood aid victims
The meddlesome Army is simply biding its time, waiting for the govt to fall so it can take over and go back to the old days of Military-led Pak-style 'dumocracy'
Pak politicians of all stripes and colors have been hectoring the world for 'not coming to its aid'. From the UN chief down to petty Army officials there has been a clarion call for more money, more help to pull this failed state out of the morass it is slowly sinking into.
India has offered US $5 million aid, with more to come. Plus medical supplies and relief essentials. India is right next door to the flood victims - having had its own share of the same misery and is in the best possible position to rush medicines, food and aid.
The Indian offer was made almost a week ago. Pak has still not 'made up its mind' what to do.
Oh, they'll take the money and aid if they can pretend it is under UN auspices so they don't have to acknowledge India's help. So says the loudmouth querulous fool masquerading as FO.
That's because the 'civilian' govt that the US is 'working so hard to strengthen' has not yet received the official blessing and green light from its Army master!
It beggars disbelief that a nation's leaders could play such games with their citizens lives. That they can deliberately take advantage of such a horrendous calamity to sit on their high horses making ridiculous demands and telling the world off as million of their citizens suffer.
Pakistan is really drowning; its people are dying but the govt is more interested in the 'core' issue of Kashmir - and Kashmiris who aren't even its citizens. Pak Army manipulating seems to think that Kashmiri needs are more important than the lives of the poor ordinary Pakistani.
Any rational person knows this was a perfect opening for Pakistan to 'walk its talk' - as the FO so often loves to spout. An opportunity to reach out, make some sort of peace and live up to its promise of being "willing to walk the extra mile". Such platitudes are mouthed only for sound bites - there is no substance to them.
And this is the 'model Muslim state' Pak media gasbags and military crackpots have deluded themselves into believing! Where "Let them eat cake" is the current motto. Things are certainly rotting in high places. Where's the humanity?
A pox on your houses to all you corrupt politicians, feudal lords, ruling elites, the military and militant honchos. The moving finger has writ and moved on but you obviously haven't got the message
Wonder why nobody loves ya?????
