Strange as it may seem but this is true. According to Ms Anita Weismyeur Ottawenheimer, who claims to be the twin sister of the much hated Adolf Hitler, he was not at all anti Semitic when they lived in Austria during their adulthood.
Ms Ottawenheimer, who is 123 years old as she claims to be, has in a recent interview given to small town news channel Bukkinawa which is based in the beautiful hamlet of Ostrichomer in the Austrian Alps, says that her twin brother was not the antisemitic demon he is made out to be. In fact he was in love with a prettygirl named Anna, the daughter of a local shopkeeper Zacharia. She was a portrait painters model and used to sit for Adolf who was very keen to become a portrait painter.
How and when they fell in love she was not sure-it was so many years ago -and her memory was failing-but it made much of news in their community. The father of the girl was not pleased however with the toothbrush moustache of his daughter's suitor and tried to put as many obstacles in the young lovers' path as he could.
But when he failed to do so he tried another trick. The slimey shopkeeper snared poor Adolf to invest some two hundred guineas, all his savings, into one of his moneymaking schemes. Adolf was so much enamoured of the girl that agreed to become his fund manager and..shaved off his moustache.
Seeing their friend making money many of his friends too agreed to put money into his prospective father-in-law's Oil from Brazil schemes. It was a sort of pyramidical structure sort of investment. Each member making four members and taking his or her cut of forty percent- One can call it a neat Ponzi scheme. And then that happened which was bound to happen- Father daughter duo vanished one fine Alps night.
Poor heartbroken Adolf was caught and tried for fraud and given a beating of his life by everyone who suffered. When Adolf came out he was a changed man,he had his moustache back and vowed vengeance against the absconders.
This was what made him what he became, according to Ms. Ottwenheimer.
She tells of this and other very interesting anecdotes of her life with her twin brother, who she claims is still alive and living the life of a hermit in the Himalayas, in her autobiography-Me and my Toothbrush brother. It has been published by Bottomsup Books,Thiefsburg and set to be released in September 2010.
