image for Report from Taiwan dentists - chowing down on large burgers can damage your jaw
How thick are your burgers?

Taiwanese dentists have urged fast food chains to drop over-sized burgers from their menus following a growing number of jaw injury cases.

Apparently the human jaw is only meant to handle objects up to one and a half inches thick.

Personally, I have rarely seen a burger three inches thick apart from in commercials.

If this is really true then many of us must be suffering from jaw problems. Think about how many things you put into your mouth that are in excess of one and a half inches thick.

Maybe Taiwanese people have very small mouths which results in them suffering more than other nationalities.

Germans and Americans should have no problem popping things in excess of three inches into their mouths. Well not the ones I know personally.

Morrisons is holding a sale on four-inch thick burgers. Actually they are free to anyone who can take a bite without squashing it down first. Otherwise they are 8 quid each.

Make Lady Godiva's day - give this story five thumbs-up (there's no need to register, the thumbs are just down there!)

The story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
