Thoughtful Mexican singer Sergio Vega spent his morning addressing false news reports that he was killed in targeted violence over the weekend.

He used the afternoon to rehearse for an upcoming concert, and then spent the evening bleeding from multiple gunshot wounds to his head, chest and legs.

The singer, who specializes in a type of music called "Gupero" --which is Spanish for 'the sound of puppies being microwaved'-- was enraged by reports of his death. He Tweeted the following that morning:

"It's happened to me for years now, someone tells a radio station or a newspaper I've been killed, or suffered an accident. And then I have to call my dear mum, who has heart trouble, to reassure her."

Turns out that the reports weren't wrong, only the time stamp.

Thanks, Irony, for making this article easy to write!
