Boston ACE pitcher, Curt Shilling, world series hero, and outspoken political activist addressed the now apparent short falls of Barry Obama after his dismal showing during the recent Massachusetts US Senate election to fill Ted Kennedy's seat.
"Hey....he just can't hit Big League Pitching! It's that simple,"said Shilling appearing on 'Soccer Today' with Skoob 1999 and Erin Andrews who were passing through Boston to cover some late breaking 'footie' news in Springfield, Illinois and had some time on their hands and feet.
"Look...the guy spent 143 days on a Class D farm club in Chicago before they brought him up to the bigs...what is he now....0 fer for ever! The Olympics, Virginia, New Jersey, at least 6 appointees that couldn't pass the tax & sniff test, Van Jones, over reaction to the Cambridge break in where he called the cops 'Idiots'...and now here in Massachusetts! Don't even talk to me about his team uniforms....Purple and Green Pants Suits....Please!!!"
Shilling said he doesn't expect things to get better for Obama anytime soon.
"I hear he's going to Nevada to bail out Harry Reid in his re election bid. Good Luck with that...Harry's got an approval rating of 29%, his son is running for Governor with about the same, and I predict Obama is going to be looking at another called strike 3!"
"I've studied the guy," said Shilling, the master on the mound who knew every opponent's weakness, "a good fast ball gets by him before he can get the bat off his shoulders, a curve ball not covered by his teleprompters causes his knees to buckle, a screw ball causes him to yell " too radical", and he over swings on a good change up ....the guy is hopeless...he doesn't even know how to bunt to advance a runner to the Senate...! Bush League !(no pun intended)
Fans are aware that Obama currently has a 4 year no cut contract with the Washington BlowHards, with 3 years remaining.
Said Shilling, " What the hell, we can eat that contract and just keep him on the bench so he won't cause any more losses...that new rookie Scott Brown seems to be the answer to get this team jump started...he can run a good race, he doesn't bail out of the batter's box, he knows the score and his team mates names, and he's a good team player who wants to win for the fans! Red Sox Nation....that's what it's all about!"
