Republicans in the US are calling on immediate wide-ranging sanctions against the UK's National Health Service. They claim that the evil communist-inspired regime must be toppled for the sake of world stability, and say that if the United Nations is unable or unwilling to intervene, then the US could be forced to take unilateral action.
In fact, the term National Health Service, or NHS, refers to the four separate organisations that service England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. Concern by US Republicans is that these four dastardly groups could combine forces. With more than 1.3 million individuals working for the NHS in England alone, it means that the combined might of the NHS would be greater than that of the US Department of Defence, and possibly even Wallmart.
This obviously concerns people in the United States. Republicans point out that the NHS is involved in the deaths of hundreds of thousands of people every year, far more than the US Department of Defence. One Senator, who asked to speak off the record, told us, "One of our allies is under constant threat from the NHS. Since the NHS took power in 1948, millions of British people are thought to have been gassed in purpose-built treatment centres. We must not rest until this evil regime has been overthrown."
