WASHINGTON: Richard Holbrooke czar of the US Af-Pak policy wants to win "hearts and minds" in Pakistan since the drone attacks have failed to do so. Meanwhile lawyers for uber-crook Bernie Madoff want to cut a deal with the feds.
With the US declaring "Mission Accomplished" on the war on terror by now officially renaming it "Pakistan's war between good and bad Taliban", Holbrooke is now ready to take US-Pak relations "to the next level". Taking it out of the Stone age into the age of corruption.
In order to help Pakistan out of its economic crisis, a team of US officials headed by Bernie Madoff and out-of-work AIG execs is on its way to Islamabad to provide "top assistance" to the Pak government headed by Mr. Ten Percent Zardari.
An anonymous US source said: "We will help Pakistan in solving all its money problems now that we have brought peace to the Swat valley "
