Reports coming in this evening state that German tanks are flooding into neighbouring Poland at an unprecedented rate.
The current invasion stems apparently from Polish migrant workers who upon returning home have taken a keen interest in tropical fish, and are eager to set up fishtanks in their communist era flatblocks.
It appears that Poland no longer has a fish tank manufacturer as the last known fish tank builder ceased trading in 1961, so the Poles are having to import their fish tanks from neighbouring Germany, which currently boasts a significant fish tank surplus.
The Germans are bemused as to why tropical fish keeping has taken off so dramatically in Poland. All of a sudden like.
Fish keeper Krystoph Magwich told us:
"It is the guppies, and the angel fish. They are so relaxing. So much more interesting to watch than Polish state television. Especially with plenty of vodka."
What can we say?
