Pope Benedict XVI has taken a hard-line stance against the new film "Angels and Demons", by ordering the assassination of actor Tom Hanks in the name of God himself.
It is certainly an aggressive stance to the film which does paint the Catholic church in somewhat of a negative light. It had been believed that the Pope's power to order murder in the name of God had been rescinded however clearly that is not the case.
Hanks has now retreated from publicising the film and gone into hiding from all Catholics, with even his own wife, a devout catholic, out to get him.
It is not the first time that Hanks' has been the target of such an order. Ayatollah Khomeini famously ordered the death of Hanks in 1985 following the film "Splash". The Ayatollah felt that any man who would attempt to marry a half woman / half fish was an enemy of God.
