Big Spring, TX- The residents of this quiet west Texas town woke up to the most disturbing news to hit the town since Mayor Stiehl's public indecency scandal of two years ago.

A local Dairy Queen, frequented by all the who's whos of Big Spring, burned down to the ground last night. "The Dairy Queen has been a fixture of Big Spring pride for the past twenty years," said Jason Obrien, a local boleweevel exterminator. "It will be sadly missed."

Amidst all the sorrow spreading through Big Spring there is a strong suspicion that the fire was not an accidental fire.

In a recent statement put forth by the evening shift manager of Dairy Queen, Clifford McGreevy, he claims that he believes that the fire might actually be linked to the terrorist organization al-Qaeda.

TheSpoof.com was able to obtain excerpts from the statement:

"I have a strong suspicion that the events of last night are linked to the terrorist organization al-Qaeda. I have suspected our deaf dishwasher, Chadwick McKinney, of being a sleeper agent for the past several weeks. I believe that he deliberately started the fire using grease from the hot fryer. Fortunately his martyrdom mission failed to take any lives including his own. We will conduct an in-house investigation and determine whether Mr. McKinney will be kept on the staff at one of the other seven Dairy Queens here in town."

Tempers have been flaring here in this small sleepy town ever since the release of this statement. We will continue to follow this story and see what becomes of the in-house investigation.

Make James's day - give this story five thumbs-up (there's no need to register, the thumbs are just down there!)

The story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
