The journalist who hurled his shoes at US President George W. Bush has described his attack as "ugly" and asked the Iraqi government for leniency, on the grounds that his body had been temporarily possessed by the spirit of the real Sindbad.
A government spokesman confirmed that Muntadhar al-Zaidi has requested Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki for compassionate treatment as the journalist in question at the time of the attack thought that Bush was indeed El Karim. Al Zaidi has also claimed that as Sindbad he could not have let 'that vile son of a dog' get away with it a second time.
Al-Zaidi is hailed as a hero by many Iraqis protesting his detention after he threw both of his shoes at Bush while the US President and al-Maliki were holding a news conference last Sunday during Bush's surprise farewell visit to Baghdad. It is only now that Iraqis are waking up to the fact that not only has Bush raped Iraq to kingdom come but Walt Disney had defiled their hero Sindbad years ago and nobody had even noticed.
The shoe could not hit Bush and the journalist was knocked to the ground. He was then arrested by security officials. The ghost of Sindbad has left Al Zaidi's body and is believed to have traveled to Camp victory nearby.
