The Rev. Adelir Antonio de Carli decided that there was no better way to get closer to God than to tie himself to hundreds of balloons and fly up to the Lord himself.
God apparently wasn't expecting any visitors that day, and unknowingly caused the balloons to succumb to atmospheric pressure and burst, sending his faithful follower plummeting to his death.
When reached for comment, God said he didn't think to check for any passengers on a giant mass of balloons.
"I honestly did not think that any of my followers would have come up with such an elaborate scheme to visit me. I guess I shouldn't be so trusting of people who actually believe what's in the Bible..." stated God.
God then went on to talk about this one time a guy tried to build a tower to the heavens, but he couldn't finish the story due to his roaring laughter.
