image for Jailed Spoof Moroccan is Spared Lashing, Claims 99% Fakebook Accounts Bogus
Three years and a tongue lashing from the judge but no Sharia Law floggings

Rabat, Morocco - (MyFakeSpaceBook Mess): A Morrocan who has been jailed for setting up a spoof Fakebook entry in the name of one of King Mohammed of Morocco's brothers has said that 99% of all Fakebook accounts are totally bogus and that he has been singled out as a fallguy for all the other impostors.

"At least they haven't imposed a Sharia Law lashing for this harmless offence," 26-year-old Fouad Mortada told his lawyer as he was lead away by Rabat court officials to start a three year jail term for impersonating Prince Moulay Rachid.

Mortada said he was feeling pretty daft after the prank backfired and zealous Moroccan police arrested him for alleged links to terror cells.

"Of course there aren't any terror links," Mortada wailed, "I was just having a bit of a laugh passing myself off as a Moroccan royal, getting some attention and sounding out all the other bogus bloggers claiming to be important public figures when, like me, all they are is part-time kebab shop chefs."

A $1,300 fine has also been imposed on the hapless chef who will serve his sentence in some Rabat hellhole unconnected to cyberspace let alone outside human contact of any kind.

"Little tosser," was the only response from the miffed Prince Moulay whose lawyers said his awesome reputation had been compromised.
