From red to rouge

Geneve - Claims by a Pentagon official that a US Navy missile had successfully hit and destroyed a rogue satellite are completely untrue. The missile, infact, actually hit and destroyed the Rouge satellite. This has resulted in the whole of France, and all other French speaking countries, without mobile phone, broadband and cable television services.

The Rouge satellite was launched by the European Space Agency in 2004 on behalf of France Telecom and was the core of the French mobile communications network.

David LeCroix, President of F.T.,speaking to me on a landline, was speechless.

Captain Mitchell Jones Jr, in charge of the Pacific fleet said " I cannot confirm or deny anything at this time. We were told to hit the rogue satellite. However, the computer guidance systems used in this kind of operation do not have spell check facility. If, and I say if a mistake has been made, we shall do everything in our power to put it right."
