Providence, RI-Local satirist and Spoof contributor John Hall shocked readers around the world when he posted his latest work, which for some reason was not in any way related to the stupidity of American President George W. Bush, English Prime Minister Tony Blair, or the war in Iraq.

When asked why he has deviated from the path which it seems every satire writer on earth has walked down since the U.S. led coalition invaded Iraq, Hall said "well, I don't know. I thought it would be funny to point something else out for a change."

Funny, maybe, but not at all appropriate.

"Whoa, whoa," commented one stunned reader. "What the hell is this? There's not one thing in here blasting Bush! I don't want to hear about Starbucks taking over the world! I want my daily dose of trite yet hilarious anti-war and Bush rhetoric, not this crap."

Other satire writers around the world have expressed concern for their counterpart. "Well, we always knew that John was a visionary," said fellow satirist William Hyeck, "but this…well, I think I speak for everyone else when I say that enough is enough, John. We all kind of feel like you've crossed the line here."

Hall, despite the nasty criticisms of his fellow writers whom have unceremoniously blasted him for not writing about Bush, Blair or the war, stands by his new piece, saying he will continue to write satire about things he finds funny, not what everyone else insists he find amusing.

Make Steve Shaw's day - give this story five thumbs-up (there's no need to register, the thumbs are just down there!)

The story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
