image for Vorderman plays Argentine "numbers game"
Three from the bottom row please Carol

Argentine finance minister Fernando Hernandez has today revealed their mystery financial saviour to be Carol Vorderman, host of Channel 4 hit show "Countdown"

Contact was initially made with Vorderman in order to "consolidate all their debts into one easy to manage monthly payment"

Hernandez told "The Spoof" we had a 25 year loan from the IMF, a ten year restructuring loan from the World Bank, a credit card for "emergencies" from Germany's Commerzbank and a rolling credit agreement with the French government for the procurement of military hardware. Problem was that with the additional costs of Christmas we were having trouble paying the gas bill.

Vorderman sorted out all our woes in just one phone call, it was so simple, they really spoke our language, we released some of the equity in our country & we even have enough left over to tart up Mendoza's city centre a bit.

Shares in financial consortium partners, Picture Loan and Loans4U have traded steadily throughout the day. Shares in Carol Vorderman herself showed steep gains before falling back 2% and closing at 276p.
