WASHINGTON - Condoleezza Rice emphatically assigned blame for White House failures on lack of intelligence.
In a long-anticipated public appearance, President Bush's adviser on Thursday repeatedly cited Bush always has his finger on the button. He refuses to watch CNN or MSNBC opting instead to watch 7 to 10 hours a day of Sponge Bob on the Cartoon Network. "We just can't get that remote control away from him." she said.
And she cautioned that while they have made marked improvements, the job is not complete. "This morning he again put his shoes on the wrong feet." she said.
"I really don't believe that all of our work is done, despite the tremendous progress that we've made thus far," Rice testified to the independent commission "you have to have some intelligence before you can use it."
