image for US to provide Pakistan with special armored cars to protect Opposition leaders

The untimely and horrific death of Benazir Bhutto has forced the US administration to review its failed foreign policy.

"It isn't just Plan B or C that we have to worry about now. It's basically Plan X, Y or Z" said an unnamed White House source.

Without acknowledging that it might bear some culpability for not pressing Musharraf to provide proper protection for the late Ms. Bhutto, the White House did admit that there was a need to ensure 'adequate protection' for all Opposition Leaders. "Otherwise they could all be bumped off and we'd find ourselves in a real pickle".

As a sign of its continued support for a fading Musharraf, the US has immediately shipped off to Pakistan a 'fleet of top-notch' armored vehicles.

The fleet, made up of twenty 1958 Ford Edsels painted green and white (to match the colors of the Pakistani flag), rolled off a PIA plane late this morning.

"We will check them for American bugging devices before we turn them over to the Opposition" said Army Chief Ashfaq Pervez Kayani.

In a remarkable coincidence, the son of a 'very very honest' top political honcho from Punjab just opened up a "Ford Edsel" dealership in Islamabad with twenty 'top notch' Edsels for immediate sale.
