The world famous basket ball star finally claimed his birth right today with the coronation ceremony proclaiming him the new ruler of the country of Jordan.
The world was stunned when it was first announced that Michael Jordan was to become King Michael of Jordan, since childhood King Michael had kept his links with the Middle Eastern nation a complete secret with only his name offering any connection of the far away country of Jordan. In the press release issued by King Michael it tells of his inner turmoil wondering whether now was the right time to claim kingship and how he felt it was his duty as air to the throne to help ease some of the unrest in this troubled part of the world.
His coronation comes just at a time when tensions in this part of the world are beginning to worry many politicians in the U.S. and Michael Jordan's rise to power couldn't have come at a better time for George Bush.
Bush is believed to have made a phone call to King Michael congratulating him on his coronation and no doubt trying to forge a strong relationship between the two nations.
It is believed that King Michael will tern his attentions firstly to the Jordanian national Basket ball team who are at the moment a poor 62 in the world rankings. The Jordanian sports minister Saeed Shuqum has said that the king is very interested in becoming the new national coach leaving the current coach Murad Barakat out of a job.
King Michael has also announced that the British page 3 model Katie price (known as Jordan to the Public) will be his Queen.
