Bush City, Talibania (IP) - Our investigative reporter has just learned that the Al Qaeda and Taliban director of social services and etiquette has been instructed by her bosses to send a nice thank you card to president Bush for the wonderful stockpile of weapons they just received thanks to his thoughtfulness. She also pointed out that they have renamed their capital city after Bush in honor of his great influence without which they might not be around anymore.
She ran down to the Talimart and picked up a card which cost $6.95. She felt that a cheaper card would have been inappropriate and was quite confident that the president, like the rest of us, would be apt to turn the card on its back and take note of how much had been spent on the card.
She also added a little note stating that her organization had just started to run low on such items and they had fallen into the groups possession just in the nick of time. It seems that some of the members were starting to get bored with the lack of action precipitated by the lack of weapons and were going to turn to other activities like rug weaving and opium production.
She finished the note by telling the president not to be such a stranger and to let them know the next time he would be in the area to deliver a rubber turkey or what have you.
