Pollution has been wreaking havoc on so-called "noses." Perfume experts are losing their sense of smell.
"I used to be able to differentiate between thousands of odors," said "Pierre" who works for Chanel. "With all this smog I can't smell anything anymore. I'm going to lose my job."
Automobile emissions are to blame say some experts. The colorful cloud of contaminants over Paris has been steadily increasing over the last several years, and "now you can't walk outside without smelling it" said a Parisian resident.
Pierre is worried for new students to the trade. "If you want to be a nose in Paris, you need to wear a medical mask. There's just no other option these days."
