image for Globe Warming More Quickly Than Climate Changing
The Earth as it looked this morning

An new environmental report contains a warning that new research has shown a hitherto unforeseen phenomenon could have a devastating effect on all of our lives.

Fears that the Earth's temperature is rising more quickly than the perceived change in its climate, are causing a "flap" amongst the scientific community, according to the report by the Federation of UK International Thermologists (FUKIT).

If the current trend continues, it says, by 2020 the rate at which the globe will have warmed up will have almost doubled, whilst the climate will have changed only a teensy-weensy bit.

This will create an imbalance and, in turn, a Meteotastrophy.

Experts are uncertain as to how this will affect mankind, but you can be sure your tomatoes will grow bigger.

Seas will rise and trees will fall, and there will be daily, deadly squally showers. Earthquakes, hurricanes, tornadoes and tidal waves will become commonplace, and land masses will come and go like nobody's business.

The Wrath of God will be unleashed blah blah blah...

Make Monkey Woods's day - give this story five thumbs-up (there's no need to register, the thumbs are just down there!)

The story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
